Miniature Cylinder Type Load Cell FFG is made of stainless steel utilizing strain gauge technology to deliver maximum 0.1% non-linearity of rated output.Miniature force sensor FFG offers 0-20N / 0-50N / 0-100N / 0-200N / 0-500N / 0-1kN / 0-2kN seven rated capacities to choose from, flange mount force transducer FFG can be used for both tension and compression force measurement. Specifications

A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.

Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of cylindrical force sensor FFG is around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply of column type load cell FFG is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of flange mounted force transducer FFG is normally within -30mV...+30mV for tension/compression force measurement.
Example one:Cylinder load cell FFG-500N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is -10mV...+10mV.
Example two: Cylinder type force sensor FFG-1kN with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC,the output range is -20mV...+20mV.

A signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.

Example: Pull and push load cell FFG-200N working with -10-10V amplifier,the Force-Voltage relationship will be 0-200N compression load VS 0-10V output,0-200N tension load VS 0-(-10V) output,when you get 5V output,it means the current load is 100N compression force,when you get -1V output,it means the current load is 20N tension force,and so on.
